Who Am I?

I didn't plan to write tonight but this guy in the web got my attention. I've been testing if the SEO tips that I did, which I found in the web, would work. Although it said in the site that it would take time before my page rank becomes higher, I still tried it to know what will happen.

I did a search using my blogspot username in Google and it showed one of my blogs as the only result. Unfortunately, the link is dead because I already changed my address from "dablublogger" to "danfresco". After this, I used my full name and hit the search button again.

I clicked the number one result and to my surprise, I saw this Argentinian guy whose name is the same as mine. It's just funny because I thought that my name is unique. Well I guess not anymore.

He has a book about Emanuel Ginobili, the 6'6 ft shooting guard from the Argentine Basketball League, who now plays for the San Antonio Spurs. I like Manu (his nickname) the most among all the Spurs players. I planned before to have a replica of his Argentine jersey made from BOTAK because of his jersey number (which is the no.5 and that is our monthsary).

The language in the site is purely Spanish, so I had to use the babelfish site to translate in English. It looks like he was fascinated with the performance of this athlete and considers Manu's life worth to be written. So mostly, the book is a biography of Manu Ginobili.

It's a good thing that my "tukayo" here Daniel is also a writer, not a leader of a mob or a famous terrorist group (haha). At least we share a common thing, which is writing, though I'm really not that good.

I'll try to e-mail this guy and ask some questions about his roots. I'm also curious about our surname's origin. Or maybe, I'll ask for the book with his signature on it. I hope he knows how to write or speak English.

Sabado Nights

I had my check-up earlier this evening with my Pediatrician (and yes, still with a pediatrician). I have cough for almost two weeks now but thank God according to him it was nothing serious. I missed our Saturday practice because I'm feeling kind of weak. So, I'm here stuck in my room in front of my PC, blogging on a "Sabado Night". The doc's prescription was a cough tablet, an anti-biotic and suggested me to get enough rest.

I did a few things earlier today. I installed an updated software for my Bluetooth dongle. I lost the previous one because I had to reinstall my OS. I've downloaded some MP3s as well. The titles are "Yellow", "Sway", "How to save a life" and "Boston". I heard these all from a colleague's playlist, which according to him are soundtrack from some TV series.

Just in case you haven't noticed, I added the calendar archive and Google search widgets. Thanks to all the blogger gurus in the web sharing their knowledges. Google is now my friend. Just like my boss (Sir Mark) always say, "Ask the right questions and it will give you the right answers". All of a sudden, I have this interest on search engine optimization. I want to know how to place this blog on top of Google search results.

I still have a few pending jobs back in the office. I'm learning a lot of stuff in there. Not only in the IT field but in other aspects as well. Just recently, I learned to make a coffee, not the brewing part, but just properly mixing the coffee, cream and sugar in one cup. Thanks to Sam. His real name is Samuel but we call him Samuel B. (get it? like Sam Milby..hehe) He's the janitor in the office and a cool guy. He taught me how to do it and after two trials, I think I already perfected it. The one in the picture was the third cup I made in my entire life that tasted like a real coffee.

Tomorrow is Sunday and that means church. Aside from the local church I am attending, I also attend the mid-week service in Bread of Life at Greenbelt 1 every Wednesday. I find every part of the service encouraging and the messages from the coaches (or Pastors) are like biggie size meal in Wendys. There are a lot of things going on inside my head now. Things like what needs to be done and how to do them correctly in terms of ministry. I pray to God that everything will be clear soon. I need to sleep now. Zzzzzzzzzzz.....

Foxy Lady

My girlfriend always tells me that I really like "chinitas" with "nunchucks" legs. That's her same exact description of my preference over the past three years of our relationship. She doesn't believe me no matter what I say. Though I still find Chinese-looking girls attractive, they're not in the top of my list like they used be.

To show you proof, let me introduce to you the third-most beautiful girl in my life right now. Of course the number one spot belongs to my Honey and Jessica Alba is only on 2nd place(haha).

I saw her two weeks ago and her name is Megan Fox. I never knew that I would enjoy listening to classics like "Drive" and "Baby Come Back". I'm planning to make the latter as my ringtone. I think many people already have the morphing effect ringtone on their phones. These two songs remind me of Megan in her "pop-the-hood" scene. Would you agree? She's looks prettier with dirt and grease all over her compared to when she looks neat.

Good news for us (Megan Fox admirers) because according to MTV movie blogs, she already signed in for the Transformers sequel. So, it's a big "hurray!!!" for Transformers addicts too. I saw the movie twice and it was still fun to watch. I've been imitating the "eeh-agh-uhg-agh" sound since then.

Friend of God

I told you guys, I'm a lazy blogger. This will just be my new entry after three months. Well, a lot already happened in that span of time. At present, two worlds only exist in my life. That would be work and church. I'm an I.T. guy now, as one of my colleagues call me. I prefer this job title rather than "I.T. specialist" because I think there's still much to learn.

I just want to share this song which is a blessing to me. It gives encouragement every time I hear it, reminding me of God's amazing grace and love for us. I also find the tune beautiful like its message. It was sung by Israel Houghton.

Check this link in youtube to hear it. Friend of God

Friend of God

(James 2:23 says Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him
for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God)

(I thank God that He calls us His friends. In spite of all that we've done,
if we only believe....only believe)

Stanza:
Who am I that You are mindful of me
That You hear me when I call
Is it true that You are thinking of me
How You love me it's amazing

Chorus:
I am a friend of God
I am a friend of God
I am a friend of God
He calls me friend

God Almighty, Lord of Glory
(It's amazing that the creator of the universe)
(Maker of Heaven and Earth)
(Invites me to be His friend)
(Think about it...)
You have called me friend

(Repeat Chorus)

He calls me friend
He calls me friend...

-End-

You know you can be God's friend too. He's inviting you now.
